Moving to Github and Asciidoc

This blog is moving to https://vanilla-java.github.io/

Why move to Asciidoc on HubPress on Gighub from Blogger.

I am moving my blog to use Asciidoc on Github.com.
This is partially to make it easier to embed code and tables, but mostly because I am tired of fighting blogger to not mess with the content when I edit a posting.
Please join me on my new source of content, and if you see any mistakes, please fork my blog and issue a Pull Request.

EDIT: It has been noted that HubPress.IO doesn't support an RSS feed yet. For this reason I will be posting an abstract and a link on blogger until this feature is added.

  1. Does Github has some RSS / Atom feed?

  2. there is a atom feed for the commits, but unfortunatelly, as far as I can see, no content only the hint for a change itself:

  3. You should take a look at jekyll + github integration

    1. +1 for this. GitHub + Jekyll makes it relatively easy to blog on GH. But you need to use something like Disqus for comments though.

  4. I am also following this blog by RSS. Agree with Jiri, without RSS I will miss most future posts :(

  5. Until I find a replacement, I will post an abstract on this site with a link.

    1. That would be really great, thank you very much. I really love your blog and RSS functionality is really vital in order to follow it.
